Radiator Tank Repair________________

It's an ugly job- bending aluminum tabs back to free the tanks. They won't take much of that.

You're bending the core frame as much as the tabs. That means the gasket surface gets warped. This is one reason it's hard or impossible to get these repaired.

There's a flat seal/o-ring between the tank and the core (not pictured).

The tank is thusly:

Clean the gasket. While you're in there, run a smoothed-off band saw blade through the tubes. Amazing how much difference it makes in keeping things cool. If yours is original, it might be too fragile to rod out.

I'd cracked the tank at the right mounting stud.
